It was quite shocking for people all over the world to hear this shocking story of recent Mumbai attacks. A gang of terrorists has apparently showed up in the city with arms and shot people. Targeting people of high authorities such as diplomats staying in elite hotels seems too easy to do in a country like India.
Mumbai termed as the commercial capital of India has always been a keen target for the terrorists. This city is home for more than 3 million people and is busy day and night. In such a condition my question is how people in responsibility can take security for granted. This incident is a clear cut example of loose ended security in India.
This is not the first time Mumbai is been attacked, it’s been there for more than a decade. The people in Mumbai have almost taken it as a part and parcel of their lives. I can say this because quite recently when I was in India, the terrorists bombed three coaches of a train and a local railway station. More than 80 people died in that incident, but the city was on full swing the very next day as if nothing has happened. Those who lost their lives lost it; others have to be keep on moving with the fast paced life. These people who practices terrorism knows well that any efforts to emotionally torture the people in there is futile.
